Sailing to Andromeda Out
And it is finally out! This album has been in the works for several months, while I decided which songs to put in and which ones to put out. To re-record them as back in the day I didn’t multitrack my performances, losing precious recordings of my improvisations for later edits. This album also has a foreword by T. William Sinclair and the cover art is made by Brad Ross-MacLeod in a show that collaborating, always is best and embellishes the result far more than any technical prowess. Together we are stronger. Let me paraphrase Sinclair’s foreword so you know what you’re getting into with this album.
In this release, Whispering Cosmos takes us on a voyage over two million light-years away, to a wondrous place far from home. Named after a princess of ancient myth, our neighbor galaxy perpetuates her exquisite beauty throughout time, its spiral arms twirling gracefully through the blackness with an easy grace.
Let our host spirit you away, his synthetic compositions lifting you from your troubles as we embark on our journey through the void on solar sails. Safely there, we’ll revel in the grandeur of our new home, making a new start in forging a better future for ourselves and our posterity.
The music of our Cosmos is a gift we can all take with us in our daily grind. It’s a reminder that there is more to life than mere existence – more to our labors than mere survival. Dig deeper. Discover your voice. Be the character whose story is worth telling. Whether it’s here on Earth or in a galaxy far distant, find where you belong and make it your home.
Also, as you may have noticed, I landed my catalog on Mirlo, a community driven, open source site for musicians to sell their music and assorted products. I think we need more of that and less of big corp driven sites on the Internet so here I am supporting a new, exciting place I recommend you to go and visit.
All the best!
